Courtney Clark is Coming to Town!

O.k., so it's not Santa Claus, but for a cake enthusiast like me it's pretty close!! Courtney Clark is the master cake artist behind Cake Nouveau based out of Ann Arbor, MI. She's appeared in numerous Food Network challenges and most recently took 1st in TLC's Ultimate Cake-Off. Her cakes are not to be attempted by the faint-hearted. At least not the ones demonstrated on the Food Network challenges.

I've admired her work for some time now. It's modern, clean, fun and whimsical...AND I just found out she'll be in Kitchener teaching a course on internal structure. Sounds like a first year engineering course, but it's very important when attempting to build a spiraling tower of cake and buttercream! And who better to learn from than Courtney?

In addition to bringing Courtney to town, the gals responsible for setting this up have also secured Michelle Bommarito for several days of instruction. Michelle is another Food Network star and talented cake artist.

Mind you the cost of these courses is also not for the faint-hearted, but I'm thinking I may not get this opportunity again so I've decided to bite the bullet and sacrifice a mortgage payment to learn from the best.
