These little bundles were made for a bridal shower and oddly enough they were pretty much the same flavours as the previous week's cupcake order.Granted, not everyone likes chocolate mint, but this is the bride's favourite and had to be included. I can't complain as it's also one of my favs and as a guest at the shower I was more than happy to have one!
The theme here involved specific colours - namely teal and brown which are also the chosen wedding colours. I tried to incorporate the same into the stand which I admittedly threw together quite quickly (not knowing if anything would be provided onsite).
Word of advice. If you're going to make your own stand try and get some complimentary paper to cover your boards. I didn't have time and would have preferred a more cohesive look than I got here. Overall it still works, but I'm picky!Anyways, with no specific request made, I used this as an opportunity to try out a new flower mold which I purchased last week. It worked well, although I'll probably try it with gumpaste next time or at least add some CMC to the fondant as I found the fondant sagged a bit once the flowers were set in the buttercream. Lesson learned!
Despite the little nuances I'm happy to report these were still consumed in full force. Gotta love cupcakes :)
