It's the Small Things

Kids have a unique way of looking at the world. When in doubt, have a conversation with a 5 year old. To them, life is simple. As adults we just complicate matters.

They know that life is meant to be joyful and fun. That true joy is experienced in the moment. Quite possibly the moment before mom and dad find them in the kitchen covered in chocolate syrup, but in the moment no less!

Kids find happiness in the smallest of things which is why I thoroughly enjoy working on a cake for a child and then watching them light up when they get to see their cake for the first time.

They get that it's for them and that it's special. It doesn't have to be perfect or made of gold, it just has to be. Something to think about as you go through this next week.

Happy 5th Birthday to Abigail and Happy 2nd Birthday to Liam!
