Jennifer & Mike's Big Day

Congratulations to this week's wedded couple Jennifer and Mike! It was definitely a hot one today, but perfect for an outdoor wedding.

Personally, as much as I like outdoor weddings I would be terrified to commit to one as relying on Mother Nature to take your side is a bit of a gamble. And that's something which I don't seem to be good at! Luckily for Jennifer and Mike the gamble paid off and I'm sure their ceremony was beautiful.

Both the ceremony and reception were held at a local golf course which was decked out in the couple's wedding colours of pink and grey/silver.

Their 3 tier cake was fashioned in a simple design with two-toned pink flowers and hand painted silver ribbon all made of fondant. A custom made stainless steel monogram finished off the look.

For the inside of this cake the couple chose banana cake with raspberry buttercream. I had never paired these flavours together before, but can now say they do work well for anyone who wants to experiment.
